Emerging Voices in Fiction

I’m delighted to announce that I’ve been selected as one of Oyster River Pages’ Emerging Voices in Fiction for their fourth annual issue (Issue 4.1).

My short story, Fish Out of Water, can be found September 2020 issue of Oyster River Pages, a literary journal that publishes voices that speak to what it means to be alive in this world. ORP embraces the reality that the personal has become the political and actively seeks to publish those who bring balance and diversity to historical institutions of power.

It was selected under the Emerging Voices in Fiction category, set up to demystify the publishing process for those who are just beginning to submit their work to journals.

ORP also asked me to record a short audio clip of me reading from it, which was so much fun! You can listen to the clip (I sound mildly terrifying), and read the complete story on their website.
